My name is Frederick Light. I was brought up in the countryside in Devon before joining the RAF. I later joined the Army and retired to Blandford having served 24 years.
My interest in Okeford Fitzpaine started when I moved to live with my partner, Vanessa, who is a well known member of the community.
My concern is with the lack of affordable housing for local people. I also have a concern for road safety in all its aspects and lack of suitable footpaths for mums with prams and for disabled persons. The lack of public transport is of great social importance for the elderly and young people who are unable to drive or have no access to cars.
I feel that a vote for me gives a good voice for the people of this parish by enabling me to serve it for the next five years.
